ETI provides apprentices hands-on training with professional equipment to develop the next generation of skilled wireman and sound electricians. Their apprenticeships are tuition-free and last 4-5 years.
The AGC San Diego chapter works to improve the skillsets, knowledge, and use of the latest technology of our regional general contractors and boasts the state’s first and largest open-shop apprenticeship program.
Apprentices complete 4 years of classes and 160 hours per year training in conjunction with full time work on a construction site. Like other programs, apprentices are paid throughout the program and receive wage increases as they accumulate more experience and training.
“Sheet metal” refers to any metal that can be formed into flat pieces. Sheet metal workers cut, roll, bend, and shape these pieces to make a wide variety of objects such as ductwork, airplane wings, car bodies, refrigeration units, medical tables, storage units, building facades, and signs. Their apprenticeship includes 1000 hours of training and work on job sites.
A program for young adults ages 17 – 24 who have previously quit school to help them earn a high school diploma or GED and start a career. Participants complete projects and training to obtain professional certifications in construction or computer technology.
